Hero was led to the Coalition’s struggle by his quest for the Twelve; Artifacts of power from his past, lost to the winds of chance and deception. In his own attempts to separate himself from the passions of his legacy, he has fallen prey to all of the human possibilities of one woman, a strong-willed officer named Lise.

Together, amongst a myriad of other characters, Hero and Lise must see through generations of war - both in the trenches and above the smoke of battle, among intrigue and lust, power and loss...

...and try to win through, only to face a final battle and decide the fate of a cosmos...
